Danielle Collins is a Policy Analyst with the Ontario Federation of Agriculture, specializing in agriculture economic development. As a member of the research team, Danielle passionately encourages rural economic development by fostering an environment that enhances economic viability and innovation in farming and the broader agri-food sector. She recently established an Agriculture Economic Development and Planning Community of Practice, in partnership with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, to facilitate the exchange of best practices, challenges and success stories from municipalities across Ontario. She enthusiastically promotes OFA’s Guide and Checklist to Support Agricultural Growth in Your Municipality as a tool for municipalities to enable agriculture to thrive.
Danielle obtained a Master’s degree in Local Economic Development from the University of Waterloo and is an active member of the Economic Developers’ Council of Ontario (EDCO), the EDCO Young Professionals Network, the Ontario East Economic Development Commission, and the Economic Developers’ Association of Canada.
