Ivan Semeniuk is an award-winning journalist with The Globe and Mail who focusses on the world of research and its interface with society and public policy. In previous roles he was the U.S. news editor for Nature, based in Washington D.C., a bureau chief for New Scientist magazine in Boston and a producer and columnist with Discovery Channel Canada in Toronto. He has been a Knight science journalism fellow at MIT, an associate journalism fellow at Massey College and in 2016 he was named a recipient of the Royal Canadian Institute’s Sandford Fleming medal for contributions to the public understanding of science.
