Joseph Wong is the Associate Vice-President and Vice-Provost, International, at the University of Toronto. A political scientist and Canada Research Chair, Professor Wong is the Ralph and Roz Halbert Professor of Innovation at the Munk School of Global Affairs. He has published extensively in leading academic journals and university presses, and Professor Wong has advised governments and international organizations in many parts of the world. He is currently working on a book about development and democracy for Princeton University Press. Professor Wong also leads the Reach Project, housed at the Munk School, which brings together top student researchers from across the University of Toronto to engage in cutting-edge research about efforts to “reach the hardest to reach” in global south settings.
