Dr. Bruce McKay
Associate Professor of Behavioural Neuroscience, Department of Psychology, Wilfred Laurier University
Dr. Bruce McKay is the Associate Dean: Student Services in the Faculty of Science, and a professor of Behavioural Neuroscience in the Department of Psychology at Wilfrid Laurier University. Dr. McKay’s research and teaching has two major themes:
- an animal neurobiology and psychopharmacology research program in which he and his students examine how specific drugs affect the structure and function of the brain, and
- a human research program in which alcohol and other drug use is studied in undergraduate university students.
Dr. McKay grew up near Woodstock, Ontario, and completed his post-secondary education at Laurentian University, the University of Calgary, and the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
